Typo3 13.3 - Unused elements when switching languages in the backend with the same ID as active elements

Hello,

I have a question about Typo3 13.3. I installed a clean version, adopted all the required extensions and settings from Typo3 13.2.1. Then I imported the database snapshot from 13.2.1. So far everything is working. All pages are as they were under 13.2.1.

In the backend I have the problem that when I switch the language from English to German, unused elements are displayed under Layout. All elements are displayed under Unused with the same ID as the active elements. If I delete the unused element, I also delete the active one. Can anyone give me a tip as to what is going wrong or test whether it is due to Typo3 13.3?

BR

Guido

Hi Guido!

Welcome to talk.typo3.org!

If you create a new content element in the default language (English) and translate it into German, does this element also appear within Unused Elements when you view the German version of the page?

Also, make sure that you have run all upgrade wizards and updated the database schema by running the Database Analyzer. Creating a new TYPO3 installation and importing a database from a previous version without taking these steps is not recommended.

Please let me know if this works for you!

Hello Mathias,

yes, if I create a new element in English and translate it, it also appears under unused elements.

I have installed typo3 13.3 cleanly. Then I installed all the required extensions and made the same settings that I have in 13.2.1. Then I imported the database from 13.2.1 and ran all the upgrade wizards.

Hi Mathias,

seems to be a problem with the core. I have opened a ticket on Bug #105153
