What is your idea about?
Several people have requested that EXT:redirect_tab be implemented as a feature in v13 (Github issue and discussion in #typo3-cms-coredev Channel). In addition to the clean implementation, prior UX coordination and final testing are necessary. The whole thing should be implemented in the EXT:redirects.
What do you want to achieve by the end of Q1 2024?
During this period, a reviewable patch including tests in the TYPO3 review system will be added.
What is the potential impact of your idea for the overall goal?
It is currently not possible to easily define redirects to the currently selected page in the core. This is currently done via the extension. In future, a separate installation will no longer be necessary.
