Additional On-Site TYPO3 Certifications

This article introduces a pilot project offering on-site TYPO3 certifications, starting with the German cities Cologne and Hamburg. It is in response to the challenges some users face with the online exam tool and the preference for face-to-face certifications.

This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at https://typo3.org/article/additional-on-site-typo3-certifications

Is there a plan to allow Linux users to take the test with their own device?

Hi Stefan,
do you have specific problems / questions?
The exam is done online in a Browser. So Linux should not be a problem.
Best regards, Gernot

Hi Gernot,

ProtectorU doesn’t support Linux: “There are some operating systems, such as Linux operating systems, iOS tablets, and others, that are not supported by ProctorU.” (from the TYPO3 shop TYPO3 Certified Integrator | 12.4 | TCCI.12)
One requirement at ProtectorU for testing my equipment is to install the Guardian Browser and this is not possible in Linux.

Or is it not necessary to use ProtectorU if I attend the certification on-site?

That’s right. As you say, ProctorU is only necessary at your home certification.
Certifications at Events or on-site are “proctored” live from Education Committee Members.
